“Today, nearly every worker is a mobile worker. Every worker can benefit from the increased agility of doing work-related activities in any geo-context. Organizations expect it’s employees to be always-on and most workers agree. Employees want to be in touch; they want to be in-the-loop, and they want to collaborate with others.  Mobile devices enable this.”

Mobile BI with QlikView

Allegro has experience in deploying Mobile BI with QlikView for several of our clients.  We believe that QlikView is an ideal platform to support mobile users for these reasons:

1. Cost:  No additional licensing required.  Plus,  developers do not have to build multiple versions of applications.  With QlikView it is build once, deploy anywhere.  This reduces the burden associated with maintaining multiple versions of apps for native clients.

2. Consistency:  The QlikView experience you get on your mobile device is the same one you get on your desktop or laptop.  You have all the power and features of QlikView anywhere and anytime. This consistent, cross-platform experience results in greater productivity and greater user adoption.

3. Manageability and security:  In QlikView, management and security are handled by the enterprise-proven QlikView server. The same information and app access privileges apply regardless of the device used, and data does not physically reside on these devices.

4. Device agnostic:  QlikView harnesses the immersive, interactive potential of touchscreen devices such as the Apple iPad, Android tablets and BlackBerry Playbook. By leveraging advanced HTML5 browser technology, QlikView delivers a touch-driven interface that makes BI as easy to use and compelling as consumer apps.

5. Optimized for handhelds:  On handhelds, QlikView automatically renders apps in a single-object display mode. This view allows you to more intuitively perform analysis on devices that have smaller screens.
