BI and operational reporting each serves different purposes in the workplace. BI solutions strategically link various inter-departmental components and provide a more high-level picture of enterprise performance. 

Operational reporting solutions offer a detailed look at particular business areas’ transactional data. Operational reporting allows business users to complete their everyday tasks easily and efficiently, whereas business intelligence solutions help organizations improve their business performance over time.  



Allegro offers two operational reporting software packages: Qlik NPrinting and Report Manager.

NPrinting is Qlik centric meaning that it only works with Qlik Sense or QlikView.
Report Manager, on the other hand, can either stand alone and report from line of business systems or be used in conjunction with BI solutions, such as Qlik, Tableau or Power BI.


NPrinting is an advanced report generation, distribution and scheduling application for QlikView and Qlik Sense. It allows for generation, filtering and modification of reports based on user criteria. Reports can be distributed to whomever you want, whenever you want.

Report Manager’s Enterprise Reporting solution provides a secure, scalable, and centralized platform for creating, scheduling, and distributing pre-built reports based on MS-Office®. Reports are generated using Excel, Word, and Powerpoint templates. Once these templates are created, Report Manager can the data and populate these templates.

Report Manager can generate Reports 4 Ways:

  • On-Demand – Add Buttons to your Tableau or Qlik Dashboards allowing users to create reports based on their current selections
  • Scheduled – Based on a date and time of day
  • Via a reporting portal
  • Programmatically via an API call
